Amsterdam gets 8 King Best hotels for Chinese tourists

In the coming years Amsterdam will get eight hotels specially designed for Chinese tourists and businessmen. The first King Best Hotel, named after the eponymous Chinese investment group, comes in an unused office building in Schiphol Rijk. The 4-star establishment gets 161 rooms and focuses specifically on individual Chinese tourists and traveling businessmen. The hotel will also get a traditional Chinese restaurant. Shuttle buses maintain connection with Schiphol and Amsterdam. This hotel will have an investment of ten million euros. Also at the Orlyplein on Sloterdijk and along the A10 at the Sint Lucas Andreas Ziekenhuis come branches of King Best Hotels, all in empty office buildings. Other locations in the city and the region are still wanted. The hotels have to become part of a chain  of hotels that are targeted special on Chinese visitors with branches throughout Europe.

Hotels for Chinese are popular, the number of Chinese visitors to Netherlands now rises. 225,000 Chinese visited our country last year, mostly via group travel. The NBTC expects that this will be 400,000 in five years. Chinese tourists prefer private shelters, mainly because of their specific meal preferences-including a hot breakfast with rice or noodles. Also the room wishes; so Chinese visitors prefer separate beds instead of double beds and a shower instead of a bath. There are no hotels in Amsterdam specifically for Chinese. What restaurants concerns, there are a number of Chinese restaurants that specifically focus on Chinese tour groups.

About Frank Scheers

My hometown Amsterdam is a wonderful starting point for journalism. Amsterdam stands for freedom of speech and tolerance. As a journalist, I can express freely and without restrictions on what is happening in Amsterdam, but also in the rest of the world. I write my own content as much as possible, but also scan the rest of the globe for striking news. This news doesn't always have to be breaking news. This can be very interesting news that is as important as breaking news, but slightly less known and just as important to the way people form their opinions. In addition to news from Amsterdam and the world news I also write about articles on politics, fashion, luxury, health, environment, entertainment, life style, business, education, shopping, wining and dining, travel and so on. Amsterdam Today is an active online news magazine and we bring articles in Dutch and in English. Important to mention is that Amsterdam Today deals with Immersive Journalism. That means that we bring fascinating news in combination with virtual reality techniques. You will experience the news as if you were there. Contact: Website | More Posts
